Regular Season Round 17: Snaiperis - IBAM 93-75

Very predictable result when leader LithuanianSnaiperis (8-0) won against 42th ranked German IBAM (3-5) 93-75 on Thursday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Snaiperis's pressure prevailed and they won that period 27-12 extending their advantage to 18 points. Snaiperis forced 20 IBAM turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Vainius Vabalas nailed 36 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and Joris Makarevicius accounted for 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Ukrainian forward Oleksii Shamrai (203-2009) came up with 23 points and Gabriel Dvojkovic added 16 points respectively for IBAM in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Snaiperis . They moved-up to second place, which they share with Jugla. IBAM lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with Karlovka and HNMKY.
